I hope everyone had a great weekend and Mother's Day. Yesterday right after church we went to Morrow Mountain with Mom and Dad, Granny and Granddaddy, and Tim, Renee and the girls. It was a perfect day for a picnic and I wish we could have stuck around to go hiking, but Matt and I had to leave by 4 p.m. since his family was coming to our house for dinner.
I thought a 4 p.m. departure would allow for more than enough time to eat and hang out for a while, but I didn't factor in a 30-minute wait at KFC (there were 25 people in line in front of us). Also, we ended up not leaving Pinehurst until close to 1, and Morrow Mountain was about 20 minutes farther than I thought. It was still a good time, just shorter than I'd hoped.
Dinner was fun too. We grilled ribs and they turned out great. Apparently the secret is to boil them for at least an hour before grilling. After dinner we had cake and coffee while watching the Hurricanes until it was obvious we were not going to win that game.
It's crazy to think that Claire will be almost a year old this time next year. We'll be living in a different house, unless ours doesn't sell. It's even conceivable (so to speak), although HIGHLY unlikely, that I could be pregnant all over again. Weird.

wait, you're moving again?!
Sounds like a lovely Mother's Day. Crazy how time flies. I love that you guys have already named your daughter and call her by name.
I enjoyed our time at Morrow Mtn, too!!!
