This is not an April Fool's joke

I know this sounds really weird, but I think I've decided to pursue teaching Body Pump. One of the people in charge approached me about it last week and I've thought about it and as far as I can tell there's no downside to getting paid, albeit not all that well, to do what I'd be doing anyway.

The schedule is very flexible, I'd have to teach only one class per week plus one weekend class per month, and I'd get paid for the time spent teaching as well as that spent "practicing" and "training" for classes. Depending on how flexible that definition is, it could add up to some nice bonus money.

I'm still not positive I'm going to do this, but I talked to the woman in charge after this morning's class and told her I was leaning toward it, and she lent me one of her teaching CDs. I'm supposed to try to follow it as if I were teaching and to see how well I can "feel the beat." There's NO improv with Body Pump, which may be good or bad, I'm not sure yet.

If I go through with this my first order or business will be to gather a friendly crowd. Carrie, Lauren R., Lauren G., Jordan, Meg ... consider yourselves warned -- I will be recruiting you!

What could it hurt? It's fun to learn to do something new too.

I just noticed that you've got Hanana Montana on here! Hilarious.
