How else would you wear it?

Claire loves headbands, but she won't wear them the usual way. Boooring! I decided to document the look before she deems it passe.

Robot dance, anyone?

Demonstrating her headband technique.

This picture wasn't in the original version of this post, but Claire requested that I add it. She's showing her "silly smile."

The wink is a work in progress.
Headbands are just the tip of the iceberg. This child wakes up every morning knowing exactly what she wants to wear. I've decided not to fight it. In general, if it works with the weather forecast, it works for me. This week she's alternating between her "heart" shirt and her "super" shirt. Black Mary Janes are hot right now, too, and leggings are always on her agenda -- bonus points if they're striped or sparkly.

I do have some ground rules, because I figure if she's going to be dressing herself, she might as well start to learn what works and what doesn't. You're never going to go wrong avoiding tights with sandals, or bright white socks with black shoes, or black shoes with brown leggings. But if she wants to rock the headband horizontally, more power to her.
