Progress

Thanks to Matt's mom, who is phenomenal at interior design, this week we finally picked out the new house's flooring, paint, trim and fireplace mantel -- major hurdles. Also, our front door arrived today.

One of the few benefits of this drought is that construction has kept moving right along. Our kitchen cabinets are backordered about three weeks, and at some point everything will be delayed about a week while the wood floors are being site-finished. Still, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Thanksgiving completion date.

We're pondering options for screening the deck from those houses in the background. We don't want a privacy fence or a row of cypress trees. Any ideas?
