I said I was going to finish blogging about our Phoenix trip, but there's actually not much else to say. To recap, if you ever visit Phoenix, be sure to rent a car so you can spend time in the surrounding towns (Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Glendale, Mesa, to name a few -- but there are several others within 15 or 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix).
I also wanted to mention that it's true that dry heat is completely different from humid heat. It was about 115 degrees the whole time we were there, but it felt no hotter than maybe low 90s in North Carolina. I spend a decent amount of time with people who aren't from here and without fail they mention how humid our state is, and even though I never think about that, I guess it's true.
