Biting the bullet

All week long Matt has been in conversation with the dealer selling the car we looked at in Taylorsville last weekend. They'd talk, then we'd discuss and sleep on it, then the next day they'd talk some more, etc. On Wednesday Matt and the sales guy agreed on a price and concessions. Today the dealership finished some maintenance they agreed to do. And tomorrow we're picking up our new car!

It will make the ride to the beach fun. I bet I won't have to drive at all.

I know it's just a car and it's not that big of a deal but if you have been around us a lot for the past year you'll understand what this means. Matt, always the researcher, has checked Auto Trader constantly, memorized three years' worth of Consumer Reports' annual auto issues, enlisted a car buyer to peruse auctions, studied tax advantages of different vehicles, and on and on. So this is much bigger than just getting a new car: It concludes a long, long journey.

I'll take pictures. See y'all at the beach!
