Snow days

Our first round of snow in recent weeks came the day after Christmas. It was beautiful, but Claire wasn't sure what to make of it.  

Matt persuaded her to venture out.

 After a few minutes, she started to warm up to it.

 

But there's no doubt who had more fun that day.

 The powdery snow was perfect for snow cream. In the spirit of snow days, I tried to give Claire hot (lukewarm) chocolate in her sippy cup, but she turned it down for seconds on the snow cream.

When the second round of snow came, yesterday, Claire was the one dragging Matt outside. I didn't get as many pictures this time because the Ev-man was awake.

(You can't see it that well, but Claire's wearing an awesome blue hat that was handmade by Amanda. Perfect for layering under the too-big hat we bought her after she had to wear a hat of Matt's last time.)

 

  My favorite part was when I looked out the window and saw Matt and Claire having a little chat.

It's been real, it's been fun. But snow and ice, please melt now so we can buy new batteries for Evan's swing tomorrow ... and so we don't have to postpone girls' night!
