Punk

Just got back from my next-to-last round of triple coupons at Harris Teeter. A high school guy checked me out. I was about to walk away with my bags when ...

Cashier: Wait!
Me: Oh, I forgot to sign. But I don't have to sign ... [because the total was under $25]
Cashier: No, you forgot to pay.
Me: I did pay. I hit "I accept" and everything.
Cashier: Well, you need to do it again.
Me: OK ... I just don't want it to go through twice.
Cashier: It won't. And if it does, you can bring in your receipt and they'll be happy to give you your [checks receipt] $3.39 back [definitely making fun of me].

P.S. Thank you to Renee for giving me a bunch of great coupons yesterday at church! It is so much easier, cleaner and more civilized to be given coupons than to go Dumpster-diving for them.

I'm dipping my toe into the world of coupons....I used several yesterday thanks to coupons.com.

My friend Cindy went to triples the other night for the first time (after a 2-hour session with me at the house about which coupons to use). The cashier she had wouldn't let her use the Reynolds wrap coupon because the foil she bought wasn't recycled, the Reese's because it wasn't dark, and one other that I can't remember. She said she wasn't brave enough to argue. I hate those kind of trips!!

definitely a punk who cannot appreciate the value of $3.39.

Probably the same "punk" who gave me a senior citizen discount the last round of triples...one day after my 40th birthday...

I think his mother checked me out last time. She acted like I was taking up her personal time not that she was getting paid to do it.
I left feeling like I stolen her precious time by using coupons. I now avoid her lane. I would hate to upset her again.

Loretta - I'll take your senior discount next time if you don't want it :)

Okay, I am sitting in line at the Chick-fil-a drive thru today, when I see the cutest baby ever. Her daddy is holding her, and I think to myself, "Gosh, that looks like Claire." Then I see you and I congratulate myself for being able to recognize the cutie. She is adorable.
