Today, I'm thankful for Granny's fruit salad, family and friends all around, four helpings of green beans, a walk through the woods, a juicy, deep-fried turkey, a church fellowship hall full of food and cute McKenzie sisters, perfect running weather, the tip of Mom's other thumb, comfortable couches, dozing during football, Fresh Market coffee, memories of Dunedin, few leftovers, paisley placemats, season one of "Brothers and Sisters" on DVD, kids dressed like pilgrims, pajama pants with an elastic waist, learning last names, fall leaves, getting caught up on newspapers and laundry, Mom's pecan pie recipe, three more consecutive days of relaxation.
I hope you, too, had a wonderful day surrounded by people you love.
